CAN Conference tackles rural transport problems

Guest speakers outlined the national and local context for rural transport at the conference which took place at Alnwick Castle.

 

The audience was then treated to presentations from organisations delivering local solutions: Paul Harrison from Bell View in Belford demonstrated the importance of committed and enthusiastic volunteers; Vicki Ewan of Upper Coquetdale Churches Together illustrated the power of local people working together; Robert Schopen outlined how Co-Wheels Car Clubs work and CAN’s Julia Plinston gave an update on Getabout which you can read more about here.
