  • Community Members needed to help set up Ray Wind Farm Community Fund.

    The consultation for Ray Wind Farm Community Fund, (which is being led by CAN), is well under way and we are now looking to form a steering group of local people. Working alongside Vattenfall, the role of this group will be to develop a vision for the fund, (drawing on the findings of the consultation), and to establish appropriate governance arrangements to manage the fund once it opens in early 2017. — Read more.

    Community Action Northumberland has now extended its OilCAN Collective buying Scheme by including Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). Collective buying is available for LPG for storage tanks or in bottles. — Read more.

    Community Action Northumberland (CAN) has teamed up with Voluntary Organisations Network North East (VONNE) Warm Up North to launch the Community Challenge scheme which can potentially help many residents in Northumberland to reduce their energy bills by acquiring a new gas boiler, and helping a local community organisation along the way. — Read more.
