Free Digital Support Sessions Across Northumberland This Summer

Whether you'd like help using your smartphone, setting up an email account, staying safe online, accessing NHS services, or keeping in touch with friends and family, our friendly Digital Inclusion team is here to help.
Community Action Northumberland's FREE Digital Support Sessions offer relaxed, one-to-one support to help you build confidence with everyday technology. No question is too small and no previous experience is needed.
Sessions are open to anyone aged 18+ and are particularly suitable for people living in rural areas who may feel excluded from the digital world.
What can we help with?
Our team can support you with:
- Using smartphones, tablets and laptops
- Accessing online services and websites
- Sending emails and video calling
- Staying safe online and avoiding scams
- Managing passwords and accounts
- Downloading and using apps
- Accessing NHS and government services
- Improving your digital confidence

Whether you're getting online for the first time or want to go further with tools like email, video calls or online forms, there's something for everyone this summer. Learning digital skills doesn't have to be intimidating — it can be social, practical and tailored to what matters most to you.
All sessions are free, friendly and open to everyone, with no booking required. Simply drop in and speak to one of our Digital Champions.

If you'd like more information about our Rural Digital Inclusion Project or are interested in volunteering your time, we'd love to hear from you.
We're always looking for volunteer Digital Champions to help people in rural Northumberland build their confidence with everyday technology. You don't need to be an IT expert – just friendly, patient and confident using devices such as smartphones, tablets and email. Training and ongoing support are provided, and you can make a real difference by giving as little as two hours a month.
