  • Supporting Individuals – Identifying, developing, managing and running projects to address the needs of rural communities.
CAN Spring Conference 2016

This half day conference will examine the extent of rural deprivation in Northumberland. What are the main contributory factors? What can we do to minimise or eliminate deprivation? How can we help those whose lives are affected by deprivation? Professor Mark Shucksmith from Newcastle University and Janice Rose from Northumberland County Council will provide keynote addresses and local speakers will also give their community perspectives on deprivation. The conference will seek to identify actions to tackle the issues identified.
