Getabout Accses Scheme - Volunteers needed

The Getabout Access Scheme has been set up to help people who have difficulty accessing transport to get out and about on essential journeys such as medical appointments, shopping trips etc. We provide an advice line which helps clients identify the best available way of making a journey, and if no existing options are available, we can provide a volunteer driver to offer a lift in their own car. We are currently looking to recruit volunteer drivers from all over the county and particularly from the Berwick area. If you enjoy helping people, have your own car and a little spare time, we'd love to hear from you (Getabout is run in partnership by Adapt (North East), CAN and Northumberland County Council
