• Employment Hubs – supporting unemployed people through the current lockdown

    We are very pleased that even though new regulations are now in place, CAN is continuing to run 4 out of our 5 Rural Employment Hubs throughout the current lockdown. This time the rules are slightly more lenient, and charities are permitted to run support groups offering essential support which can’t be delivered as effectively remotely. — Read more.

  • Phase 1 renovation complete at Slaley Commemoration Hall

    Despite the pandemic, it has been fantastic to see village halls getting on with planned renovations and improvements – particularly those benefitting from funding under CAN’s partnership project with the National Lottery Community Fund. One such hall is Slaley Commemoration Hall. — Read more.

  • Test and Trace and QR Codes

    From 24th September the Regulations for the Collection of Contact Details require every hirer or organisation using a community hall to comply with the obligation to register for an NHS QR code, display the official NHS QR poster and keep records for Test and Trace and every community hall to ensure hirers comply. — Read more.
