Village Hall portal attracts the crowds

Over 80 people attended CAN’s special online event held on Tuesday 26 January as part of National Village Halls Week.

Representatives from village halls across the county came to find out more about the new Northumberland Village Halls Portal which will be launched to the public before the end of March. The portal aims to help promote all Northumberland’s halls to potential users and to enhance access to halls for organisations delivering services across Northumberland.

Funded with support from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund of the National Lottery Community Fund, we hope the public launch will be timed with halls being able to start opening their doors again.

Lots of village halls are signing up to be part of the portal and we are keen for as many as possible to be active participants before the public launch.

A message is being distributed to all village halls through the county’s two consortia to confirm the initial information we need to get the ball rolling for each hall. If you are interested and would like to find out more please email louisecurrie@ca-north.org.uk in the first instance.
