Guidance for Village Halls updated
6th Jul 2020
CAN’s national umbrella body, ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) has released the revised update for re-opening village halls/community buildings. It has been updated in line with all the Government Guidance that is available to date. Any further changes which emerge will be included in future revisions of the guidance.
ACRE has made an adjustment to the Information Sheet, current on 4th July - to take account of the point below:
The Regulations only permit events holding more than 30 persons where organised by:
"a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution, a public body, or a political body and a COVID-19 Risk Assessment has been carried out and is complied with"
This therefore means that private parties in village/community halls have to stick to the limit of 30.
