First employment fair a success with more planned

The first Bridge Employment Fair in Prudhoe was a huge success, based on local employers with jobs on offer. There were over 50 jobs plus apprenticeships and training on the day. The session was busy from 10am – 1pm with at least 30-40 people attending of all ages.
 
Job seekers went away with interviews set up and others with jobs to apply for. Employers were pleased each seemed to have got something from it and said it was worthwhile. It also raised the profile of the Friday Employment Hub and they have people returning and to the Hexham Employment hub.
 
Based on the success of this fair Bridge Northumberland will be running mini fairs across Northumberland until its funding ends in March. The next will be in Morpeth on Wednesday 24th August then planned for Alnwick, Berwick, Blyth, Newbiggin, Ashington, Cramlington, Prudhoe and Hexham.
