    CAN’s 2016 AGM will take place on Wednesday 2 November at Stocksfield Community Centre. The event will open at 12 noon with a buffet lunch (cost £5 per person). The formal business of the AGM will commence at 1pm and will be followed by presentations on the the theme of Affordable Housing in Rural Northumberland.   • Getabout Access Scheme seeks volunteers

    Getabout Access Scheme seeks volunteers The Getabout Access Scheme is Currently seeking volunteer drivers to provide a service to people who might not otherwise be able to get out of their homes are able to undertake essential journeys including shopping trips, GP and hospital appointments and visits to relatives in hospital. Volunteers are asked to use their own cars to transport clients, and to undergo a DBS check. Full training is given and expenses are paid at a rate of 45p per mile. We accept applications from across the county and currently have an urgent need for more volunteers in North Northumberland.
