Lynda Watson joined the CAN staff in the Morpeth office as our new COMPACT & Contracts Officer and is working in conjunction with George Courtice ........
She will be working with voluntary organisations who might be thinking about procuring public sector contracts and also continuing the good progress which has been made on implementing the COMPACT, to ensure words are turned into actions.
Lynda has experience of working in the private, public and community voluntary sectors principally in the areas of employment, training and economic regeneration. For the past 8 years she has been based in Wansbeck, SE Northumberland, enabling and supporting the sector to access a variety of funding. As well as SRB, Single Programme, European and Trust funding she managed smaller local funds, therefore enabling a wide range of Voluntary and Community organisations to provide opportunities for their local communities.
Lynda works on behalf of a partnership which is made up of public and voluntary sector representatives, the Northumberland Compact Reference Group whose aim is to improve relationships and understanding between the sectors for the benefit of each other and the communities they serve.
