George Courtice is the Sector Development Officer for Northumberland. Employed by Community Action, George has responsibility for the Voluntary and Community Sector, COMPACT, Change-Up, Local Area Agreement and Capacity Builders.

George moved to the North East in 1974 to work as a researcher at Tyne Tees Television on the regular Sunday farming programmes and then spent the next 25 years producing a range of factual programmes for a variety of different broadcasters.  For the three years previous to joining CAN he worked for the PRIME Initiative as its North East Regional Development Manager promoting the option of self-employment and enterprise for people over the age of 50. 

He lives with his partner, teenage daughter, dog (and one chicken) near Scots Gap.
